Home Based Data Entry Typist

SGA Youth & Family Services is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Home Based Data Entry Typist to support our mission of empowering youth and families through accurate and timely data management. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful nonprofit work from the comfort of your home while ensuring that critical information is processed efficiently and securely.

As a key member of our team, you will play an essential role in maintaining the integrity of our data systems, which directly impacts program effectiveness and reporting accuracy.

Key Objectives

• Accurately enter and update data related to client services, program activities, and organizational records.
  
• Maintain confidentiality and data security in compliance with organizational policies.
  
• Support the administrative team by ensuring timely and error-free data processing.
  

Responsibilities

• Input data from various paper and electronic sources into designated databases and spreadsheets.
  
• Review and verify data for accuracy and completeness before entry.
  
• Organize and maintain electronic files and records in accordance with established protocols.
  
• Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve data quality.
  
• Adhere to data privacy and confidentiality guidelines at all times.
  
• Meet daily and weekly data entry targets to support program deadlines.
  
• Report any issues or inconsistencies to supervisors promptly.
  

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification is a plus.
  
• Proven experience in data entry or similar administrative roles preferred.
  
• Strong typing skills with a minimum speed of 50 words per minute and high accuracy.
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
  
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
