• Location: Hickory, NC 28601 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)
• Setting: Operating Room (OR)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2000 - $2050
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Contract
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/13/2025 – End: 1/12/2026)
• Shift: 4 x 10-hour day shifts (06:45 – 17:15)
• Call: 7 days per month, including weekends
• Patient Population: Primarily adults, minimal outpatient pediatrics
• Unit Size: 13 beds, 1:1 patient ratio
• Technology: DaVinci Robotics, Mako, Holmium Laser, Hana Table
• Electronic Health Record: Cerner

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room Registered Nurse experience
• Experience with surgical robotics, orthopedics, or neurosurgery preferred
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation (7 days/month)
• Comfortable providing clinical support for adult patients; minimal pediatric outpatient care
• Strong professionalism and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the operating room, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Assist with a range of surgical procedures: general, orthopedic, neurosurgical, and robotic surgeries
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to provide high-quality clinical support
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EHR
• Comply with hospital policies, including dress code (scrubs provided via hospital scrub machine)
• Participate in required orientation and ongoing clinical training
• Respond to on-call needs as scheduled
