1st Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Thomasville, North Carolina is looking for a 1st Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Assists the Golf Course Professional in planning, scheduling and supervising the clubhouse and part-time staff. Assist Golf Professional with all activities relating to the management and execution of the club’s golf operations, including but not limited to public tournaments, member tournaments, outside staff service, golf shop, practice facilities, instructional programs, financial management, human resource management and maintenance of golf equipment (carts, pickers, ball washers, etc.). Regular contact is made with golfers to direct them on the course and to keep them out of closed or off limit maintenance areas. An employee in this class provides instruction and guidance on how to complete skilled maintenance tasks and maintain a safe work environment. Work is checked through periodic checks and inspection of completed Assignments under the regular supervision of the Golf Course Professional.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Manage the golf course and employees in the absence of the supervisor.
• Manage social media posts, email marketing and website updates.
• Work scheduling – golf shop, starters and rangers and cart attendants.
• Schedule and run golf tournaments.
• Assist the teaching professional in all training programs.
• Manage the driving range building and night driving range events.
• Manage training sessions for new employees.
• Promote the club in the community by attending local events and social club.

Requirements:
Must demonstrate strong knowledge of golf operations, tournament coordination, and customer service practices.
The role requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with golfers, staff, and community partners.
Candidates must be organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:
$45,645.57 – $53,000.00 per year.
