Active Registered Respiratory Tech (RRT) license and 2+ years of in-patient hospital Respiratory Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Deliver specialized respiratory care at a leading academic medical center recognized for its Level 1 trauma designation and comprehensive services including a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center. This travel opportunity is based in Winston-Salem, NC, offering a dynamic clinical environment with diverse patient populations, ranging from adult to neonatal/pediatric care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced respiratory therapy in ICU, medical, and surgical settings, adapting to patient acuity and departmental needs.
• Manage complex cases involving conditions such as post-surgical recovery, pneumonia, COPD, asthma, and emergency care.
• Utilize departmental technology including EPIC EMR, Servo U, Servo Air, The Vest, Volara, Aerogen, and heated high-flow systems. Pediatric roles may require HFJV and HFOV proficiency.
• Collaborate closely with experienced lead therapists on both adult and pediatric teams, contributing to a culture of teamwork and excellence.
• Participate in weekend rotations every other week, with shifts of either 06:30-19:00 or 18:30-07:00, and work approximately 75% of holidays as scheduled.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of critical care respiratory therapy experience, preferably in a Level 1 trauma or high-acuity setting.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure with North Carolina credentials.
• BLS certification required; PALS and NRP certifications mandatory for neonatal/pediatric roles.
• CRT credential considered but not preferred.
• Experience with specified respiratory care equipment and EPIC EMR system.
