Job Summary: The Data and Analytics Director at Albemarle will lead the Data and Analytics department, overseeing the strategic direction, development, and implementation of data-driven solutions. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong background in data management, analytics, and team leadership. The Director will work closely with various departments to ensure data integrity, optimize data usage, and drive business insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of data professionals, including data scientists, data engineers, and analysts.
- Develop and implement the data and analytics strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data infrastructure and analytics platforms.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Drive the adoption of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI technologies.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the company at the forefront of data innovation.
- Manage budgets, resources, and vendor relationships related to data and analytics initiatives.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a senior data and analytics role, with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Expertise in data management, data warehousing, and data governance.
- Proficiency in analytics tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, etc.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and big data technologies is required (ideally Azure, DataBricks).
Preferred Skills
- Experience in the industry relevant to your company (e.g., finance, healthcare, retail).
- Certifications in data management or analytics (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate).
