Team Lead- Press 2nd Shift
- Understanding of the Press processes and procedures and ability to run the press, trouble shoot at least minor press issues as well as serve as back up for the process technician as needed.
- Capable of training new associates on processes and procedures.
- Leading the production line to ensure product is produced according to schedule.
- Providing work assignments, daily production paperwork, and monitoring progress of production staff throughout the day or as directed by the supervisor.
- Verify production paperwork is completed and accurate.
- Complete confirmations in SAP
- View and Understand planned schedule
- Print Work Orders
- Complete and email pass down notes, end of shift reports and effectivity sheet.
- Ensure work areas are kept free of unnecessary objects, and housekeeping is acceptable.
- Redirect employees that are out of area or off task.
- Replenish consumables as needed.
- Assist supervisor with monitoring employees that are leaving for and/or returning from break early/late.
- Provide honest, accurate and timely feedback to supervisor regarding employee performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Lead by example, must follow all policies and procedures as well as ensuring the team is following them. Reporting to the supervisor as needed.
- Capable of holding the pre-shift/tier 1 meeting when needed.
- Monitor and address quality of parts produced by casters. Assist them in resolving any issues. Retraining as needed.
- Must maintain a good working relationship with other departments.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and requirements as well as ensure the team follows all safety guidelines and requirements.
- Other job-related task assigned by the supervisor.
- Must be in good standing (no more than 1 active disciplinary write-up and no more than 1 attendance point)
- Strong ethical and moral standards
- Good communication
- Must be able to lead a team
- Must be able to work independently or in a team
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Must have completed at least 90 days of employment.
- Previous SAP experience (preferred) or the ability to learn SAP
- Previous Office 365 experience (preferred) or the ability to learn the basics of email (outlook), teams, word and excel.
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent required
