ETL QA Tester

Job Title: ETL/Datawarehouse Tester

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ETL/Datawarehouse Tester with a proven track record in quality assurance testing using SQL, database, and ETL technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in writing complex SQL queries using joins and experience in Unix. This role requires excellent documentation and troubleshooting abilities, along with familiarity with test management software and the project life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality assurance testing using SQL, database, and ETL technologies.
• Write complex SQL queries using joins.
• Document and troubleshoot errors effectively.
• Utilize test management software such as qTest and Octane.
• Collaborate with the development team for defect triaging.
• Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements.
• Work collaboratively within large teams and manage competing priorities.
• Provide support in agile environments and participate in project life cycles (SIT, UAT).

Essential Skills

• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester using SQL, Database, ETL technologies.
• Strong experience in writing complex SQL queries using joins.
• Experience with Unix.
• Hands-on agile experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Working knowledge of test management software (e.g., qTest, Octane).
• Experience in the banking domain.
• Ability to work with globally distributed teams.
• Strong problem identification and solving skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, North Carolina 3x weekly in office.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $60.00/hr.
