Maintenance Mechanic

SBA Home North Carolina is the first U.S. production facility of SBA Group, a leading European furniture manufacturer headquartered in Lithuania. Operations are scheduled to begin in late 2025, and the facility will employ more than 250 talented professionals. This highly automated and robotic manufacturing site will produce furniture reaching millions of homes across the United States, offering employees the opportunity to grow their careers in a cutting-edge manufacturing environment. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Mechanic to support the reliability and performance of our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment throughout the plant to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on manufacturing machinery, equipment, and systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production team members to address maintenance needs and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Prepare and maintain instructions related to equipment operation, maintenance, safety and health, TPM, and standard work.
- Fabricate, modify, or repair parts using machine shop and plant tools as needed.
- Ensure all work complies with quality management, safety, health, and environmental standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and records.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification, associate degree, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment or a similar industrial role.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, automated environment.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
