Industrial Painter

As an Industrial Painter, you will operate advanced industrial painting equipment, including spray booths, robotic arms, and conveyor systems, to apply coatings to a variety of metal, plastic, and composite parts. You will be responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing paint colors, and ensuring the highest quality finish.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial painting equipment such as spray booths, robotic arms, and conveyor systems.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primers.
• Mix and match paint colors according to specifications, ensuring proper viscosity and consistency.
• Monitor paint application for quality, thickness, and coverage, adjusting equipment settings as needed.
• Inspect finished products for defects like runs, sags, or uneven coverage, and perform touch-ups or rework.
• Follow safety protocols, including handling hazardous materials, using PPE, and adhering to ventilation and fire safety standards.
• Document production data, including paint usage, batch numbers, and quality control results.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on painting equipment, including cleaning nozzles and filters, lubricating parts, and replacing components.
• Report equipment malfunctions and assist maintenance teams with troubleshooting and repairs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet daily output and quality goals.

• Experience in industrial painting or machine operation.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of preventative maintenance procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety guidelines, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

• Prior experience in industrial painting or machine operation is preferred.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Monroe, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
