Position Overview:
We are seeking an EHS Professional for our Rolling Stock manufacturing facility in Lexington, NC. The position is responsible for supporting and participating in cross functional EHS projects and initiatives to achieve Siemens’ goals and objectives. This role will would advise the EHS management in environmental, health and safety excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a working knowledge of current EHS regulations, policies, and practices as well as strong general safety skills, interpersonal and communication skills. This position will report directly to the Business’s EHS Manager.
Shift: This role requires availability to work a swing shift between 1st and 2nd shift. On occasion, the hours will be 10:00am - 6:00pm. For any 2nd shift hours worked, you will be eligible for an additional 10% shift differential.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Ability to lead and support safety initiatives and assist in compliance reporting.
- Promote the application of best management practices through operational excellence and ensure compliance within all administrative and operational functions.
- Assist with the development, maintenance, and implementation of EHS policies, practices, guidelines, and procedures with particular focus on environmental.
- Ensure employees and operations maintain compliance with safety and health regulations.
- Assist in coordinate safety related incident/accident investigations.
- Conduct EHS audits and risk assessments.
- Participate in external compliance audits and loss prevention audits.
- Ensure compliance with EHS notices and standards.
- Support our environmental engineers with boots on the ground compliance
To thrive in this role, you have:
- Associate’s degree+ and / or related Professional Certification (CHST, ASP, CSS, CHMM, etc.)
- 3+ years of experience in a safety & health, with experience in a manufacturing environment
- Possess knowledge of standard industry environmental practices
- Detailed knowledge/understanding and practical application of health and safety regulations (OSHA, DOT, NFPA, etc.)
- Must demonstrate the ability and willingness to successfully work independently and in team environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate safety hazards and recommendations effectively to all levels of the organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Preferred experience related to ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.

Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. Details regarding our benefits can be found here: . The base salary range for this position in Lexington, NC is $66,708 - $90,066. This is a split shift between 1st and 2nd shift. For 2nd shift hours worked, you will be eligible for an additional 10% shift differential. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
