Travel Nursing Job Details

• Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Travel Assignment
• Location: Albany, NY 12208 (New York healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 29, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Employment Type: Travel nursing
• Healthcare Setting: Operating Room (OR)
• Shift: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM (12-hour day shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• On-Call Requirement: Possible
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2200 - $2260

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience (perioperative nursing)
• Proven experience in cardiac, neuro, thoracic, orthopedic, and vascular surgeries
• Current and valid BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and participate in on-call rotation as needed
• Excellent communication, clinical, and teamwork skills

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care to surgical patients
• Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during operative procedures
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in on-call coverage as required
