Key Responsibilities of the RN - Med Surg
- Manage patients with orthopedic surgery, spine surgery, trauma, and vascular surgery needs.
- Conduct general post-surgical care including incision care, chest tubes, wound care, and mobility education.
- Coordinate patient care with CNA support and act as a mentor as required.
- Utilize hospital resources like Remote Telemetry monitoring and the BERT Behavioral Response Team as needed.
Requirements of the RN - Med Surg
- 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience
- Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR, BD Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing systems
