Sylvan Valley Dental | Brevard, NCSylvan Valley Dental is looking for a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our team in Brevard, NC! We are seeking a friendly, motivated, and self-starting hygienist who enjoys building relationships with patients and contributing to a positive, team-focused environment. While we prefer candidates with at least one year of clinical experience, we are open to considering new graduates who are eager to learn and grow.
Schedule:
- Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Part-time candidates will also be considered.

Hygienists in CT, MD, NC, NV and WA work for a supported professional corporation (PC) and are not employed by Heartland Dental.

Minimum Qualifications
- Current dental hygienist license in North Carolina and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR Certification
Preferred Experience
- 1+ years of clinical experience preferred, but open to new graduates!
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ dental health
- Clinical needs as required by office
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/ Doctor/ Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year
- As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both team members and patients, a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. This is a standard requirement for dental office roles and must be completed prior to starting employment. The test will be arranged during the pre-employment process, and any necessary guidance or paperwork will be provided. Not applicable in the state of FL & TN.
