Leicester Flooring is opening a new location in Arden, NC and we are seeking a motivated and dynamic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting clients with their purchasing decisions. You will engage with customers to understand their needs, promote products, and ensure a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and have a passion for sales, particularly in high-end retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
• Provide detailed information about features and benefits.
• Utilize upselling techniques to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
• Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions efficiently, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing store layout through effective merchandising practices.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve overall store performance.
• Engage in account management for repeat customers, fostering long-term relationships.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers, including multilingual capabilities being a plus.
• Familiarity with retail math and basic math skills for accurate transactions.
• Knowledge of construction, renovation, or interior design concepts is advantageous.
• Ability to negotiate effectively while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

For many years Leicester Flooring was a “mom and pop” operation, with Mrs. Snelson handling sales in the office while her husband supervised installation.
