Veterinary Criticalist (Board Certified / Diplomate / Residency Trained) J861010
This is a 24/7 specialty and emergency facility where collaborative, multidisciplinary care is the norm. Board-certified specialists partner closely with emergency clinicians, hospitalists, discharge technicians and care coordinators to deliver seamless patient care. Specialty services include neurology, surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, cardiology and internal medicine. Emergency cases are welcomed at all times, while specialty consultations are seen by referral. The hospital features modern operating suites, radiation therapy capability, advanced imaging, a full in-house laboratory and contemporary patient monitoring and anesthesia support. Daily rounds, shared case management and a learning-focused culture support continued professional growth and strong outcomes for complex and critical patients. Location

- Lead and manage critical care cases in collaboration with emergency and specialty teams
- Guide stabilization, diagnostics and treatment planning for high-acuity patients
- Oversee ICU case flow, participate in daily rounds and ensure continuity of care from intake to discharge
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and referring veterinarians
- Support protocol development, quality assurance and staff training
- Maintain accurate, timely medical records and uphold best-practice standards
- Contribute to mentoring and a supportive, education-forward team culture Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Applicants must be board-certified or residency trained
- Eligible for and able to obtain a North Carolina veterinary license
- Eligibility to work in the United States
