Process Development Engineer, Automotive Driveline

Your first 90 days

1. Days 0–30: Learn the product and processes, map current-state machining flows, establish FTF baselines, and verify safety, health, and environmental compliance. Begin engaging with design to spot manufacturability opportunities.
2. Days 31–60: Draft and submit PPAP documentation, run 5 Why on key defects, pilot lean improvements, and kick off supplier/subcontractor trials tied to small-scale projects with clear schedules, costs, and budgets.
3. Days 61–90: Implement process changes, tune equipment and CNC programs, finalize budget tracking, document standards, and share learnings via training and knowledge transfer sessions.

Join us to engineer efficient, reliable, and cost-effective manufacturing processes. You’ll be the bridge between product design and production—improving manufacturability, leading inspections, recommending engineering enhancements, and using data to eliminate waste.

Core responsibilities

• Design and improve manufacturing systems and equipment.
• Support FTF measurement and prepare/maintain PPAP documentation.
• Partner with design engineering to simplify builds and cut cost.
• Lead inspections and turn findings into practical engineering actions.
• Analyze performance data to optimize process capability and flow.
• Coordinate suppliers/subcontractors and run small projects end-to-end.
• Maintain safety, health, and environmental compliance.
• Enable continuous learning by sharing best practices and mentoring.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–6 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
• Experience in design, development, and specification.
• Proficiency with scheduling, costing, and budgeting for projects.

Preferred

• CNC and machining process expertise.
• Lean manufacturing and change management experience.
• Strong analytical mindset for process optimization.
• Supplier and subcontractor coordination background.
