Lean Production Support Associate - 1st Shift
We are looking for a talented Operational Excellence Specialist to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Fletcher, NC .
Job Summary:
Performs highly skilled non production activities independently supporting manufacturing processes in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment. Acts as a formal resource leading and coordinating others. Quickly and effectively adapts to change in the manufacturing environment.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
• Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience.
• Cross Functional Project Collaboration: Experience working with internal and external resources to drive project execution, resolve issues, and ensure successful delivery of manufacturing initiatives.
• Relationship Building: Ability to maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide support in continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Process Improvement: Support with improving production processes to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and overall operational performance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications required
• Lean Problem-solving Skills: Knowledge in applying lean methodologies and tools such as A3, DMAIC, 8D, 5Why, and Fishbone to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions preferred
• TPS Implementation Support: Experience in the implementation of the Toyota Production System (TPS) or similar production systems preferred
• Associates degree in a manufacturing field or equivalent experience highly preferred.
• 2 years of continuous improvement or lean manufacturing experience highly preferred.
