Job Description

As a Security Officer - Customer Service Patrol in Butner, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a high-visibility presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support daily operations by responding to reports, documenting activity, and providing professional customer service and clear communication to employees, drivers, and visitors, reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting details, and/or assisting with scene control as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout warehouse, yard, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify irregular conditions, and report concerns.
• Monitor access points such as gates, docks, and entrances by verifying credentials, controlling visitor and/or driver entry, and maintaining required logs and reports per post orders.
• Complete routine reports and documentation, including incident reports, patrol activity, and communication logs, while maintaining clear communication with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
