As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct mobile and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and professional customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to all personnel and visitors by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
- Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access control points, check identification and/or authorization credentials, and document entries, exits, and deliveries per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting, coordinating with on-site staff, and requesting law enforcement and/or medical support as directed.
- Complete detailed logs and incident reports, preserve observations and available information, and communicate updates to supervisors and site representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21+ years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
