Precision Press Brake Technician
Step into the role
Picture your day beginning at the press brake cell. You review the job packet, study the blueprints, select the right tooling, and set up the machine to form sheet metal exactly to spec. Throughout the shift, you bend and shape parts with care, verify dimensions with calipers and micrometers, make fine adjustments, and keep production moving smoothly alongside your teammates.
What you will do
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine required dimensions and tolerances.
- Verify part accuracy by performing quality checks with precision instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Carry out routine maintenance to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.
- Work closely with team members in the fabrication process, supporting assembly and tooling tasks as needed.
- Follow safety procedures when operating equipment and handling materials.
- Keep the workstation clean and orderly throughout the shift.
