About Pyramid Healthcare

Pyramid Healthcare is expanding with a new detox and residential treatment facility in Concord, NC , and we are hiring compassionate Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a brand-new program and make a meaningful impact supporting individuals in recovery.

As a BHT, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for clients receiving substance use disorder treatment.

Position Summary

The Behavioral Health Technician is a direct care role responsible for supervising clients, supporting treatment programming, and assisting with daily living activities. BHTs work closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure client safety, promote recovery, and maintain program structure.

Schedule & Pay

• Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Status: Full-Time
• Pay: $16.00 per hour + shift differential

Key Responsibilities

• Support new admissions and assist with client intakes.
• Supervise and engage clients to ensure safety and program participation.
• Observe and document client self-administration of medication as applicable.
• Maintain accurate documentation and client records.
• Coordinate and monitor client activities and therapeutic groups.
• Provide safe transportation for clients when needed.
• Support individualized treatment plan goals and daily living needs.
• Respond to behavioral or emotional crises and provide crisis intervention when necessary.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and structured environment; assist with basic housekeeping tasks.
• Assist with meals and dietary support as needed.
• Maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards.
• Complete required trainings and participate in ongoing staff development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Certification

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Experience

• Prior experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or human services preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in crisis situations.
• Knowledge of basic safety and compliance standards.
• Passion for client-centered care and recovery support.
