Dermatology Medical Assistant - Hendersonville NC
QualDerm Partners is looking for a dedicated Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our team in Hendersonville, NC. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs and relevant medical histories accurately.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are available.
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis as required.
- Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Manage appointment scheduling and promote effective communication within the office.
- Educate patients on treatment options, medication usage, and proper skincare routines.
- Ensure examination rooms are organized, clean, and sufficiently stocked with supplies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification is preferred.
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a related clinical setting is desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, particularly in dermatology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective patient and team interactions.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and common office software is preferred.
