ICU Nurse Job Details

• Location: Marion, NC (28752) – Explore hiking trails, lakes, and a friendly small-town atmosphere.

• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• End Date: November 24, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit Size: 23 beds
• Patient Ratios: 1:6 (night shift)
• Scrub Color: Navy
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570 - $1610

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR documentation system
• Ability to float to Emergency Department (ED) as needed

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status using Cerner electronic medical records
• Collaborate with physicians, patient care technicians (PCTs), and unit secretaries for optimal patient outcomes
• Perform advanced ICU procedures and respond to medical emergencies
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and unit guidelines
• Enhance patient experience and support Mission Hospital McDowell’s reputation for healthcare excellence
