This is a remote position.

We’re seeking a Structural Engineer to support residential and light commercial building projects with a focus on foundation and structural design. This role involves performing detailed calculations, creating design documentation, and ensuring safety and compliance for concrete and steel structures. The ideal candidate has experience with residential projects, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze residential and light commercial foundations, framing, and structural systems.
  

• Perform load calculations and material assessments for concrete and steel structures.
  

• Develop and review detailed construction drawings and specifications using AutoCAD.
  

• Conduct structural evaluations and propose cost-effective design solutions.
  

• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to ensure structural designs align with project goals and local building codes.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
  

• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
  

• 5+ years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in residential or light commercial projects.
  

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and structural analysis software.
  

• Strong understanding of concrete and steel design principles and building code compliance.
  

• Experience performing load and foundation analyses.
  

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
  

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
