JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Contribute to the research and design for software development assignments in an Agile development environment for specific software functional areas and product lines. Determine end-user needs, contribute to software development lifecycle planning, and determine software system architecture. Develop and manipulate data models using Java/J2EE, JavaScript, Angular, HTML, XML, and SQL. Write and review detailed specifications for the development of complex software. Document aspects of software applications or systems as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades. Collaborate with members of the development team to understand product requirements and translate them into software designs. Resolve technical issues and complete bug fixes. Perform other duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field required.

• 1 year of experience in job offered or related occupations required.

• Also required is: 1 year of experience: using Java development to implement new product functionality and fix software defects reported by users; using Web Application Development skills to create web pages for the application, as well as build communication mechanisms with backend servers using standard internet protocols; using SQL to store and retrieve data from the server, and to create complex data queries that obtain data from multiple sources; utilizing Angular, Angular.js, or other related JavaScript framework, along with front-end skills to design and create web pages for user interface functionality, that will be used to implement pages and communicate with the backend; and using REST API skills to design and create endpoints to send and retrieve data between the application and the customer.

• Employee reports to LexisNexis USA office in Raleigh, NC, but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.

• Experience can be concurrent.

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $71,600 - $119,400. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates.
