DescriptionCenter Hill Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a Senior Pastor who has experienced a personal saving relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrates a clear call to pastoral ministry, affirms the Baptist Faith and Message 1998, faithfully preaches and teaches the Word of God, provides spiritual leadership and biblical vision, has a heart for evangelism and discipleship, ministers compassionately to church members and the community, equips believers for ministry and service, works cooperatively with church leadership and congregation, and leads with humility, integrity, and Christlike character.

The ideal candidate will possess a shepherd’s heart, a passion for sharing the Gospel, and a commitment to helping Center Hill Baptist Church build upon its rich heritage while embracing future opportunities for ministry and growth.

The Senior Pastor will be expected to preach and teach God’s Word faithfully and effectively; lead the church in worship, discipleship, and evangelism; provide pastoral care, visitation, counseling, and encouragement; equip and encourage members for ministry and service; work alongside church leaders in advancing the church’s mission; promote missions and community outreach; and provide leadership, vision, and spiritual guidance for the congregation.

As Center Hill Baptist Church enters a new chapter in its ministry, we seek a pastor who will help us continue our mission of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ and providing Christian fellowship within our community.

Center Hill Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist congregation located in Lexington, North Carolina. Organized in 1907 in the Center Hill School, the church constructed its first sanctuary at its current location in 1908 and has faithfully worshiped and ministered there ever since. For more than a century, Center Hill Baptist Church has served as a beacon of faith in the community, proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and providing a place where believers can worship, grow, serve, and fellowship together. We affirm and adhere to the Baptist Faith and Message 1998 as our statement of faith. We hold to historic Baptist convictions, including the authority and trustworthiness of Scripture, salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, the death, burial, resurrection, and promised return of Jesus Christ, believer’s baptism, the autonomy of the local church under the Lordship of Christ, the priesthood of all believers, and the Great Commission.

Center Hill Baptist Church believes that the Bible is God’s inspired Word and welcomes the use of trusted, evangelical translations that accurately communicate God’s Word. While we practice and teach believer’s baptism by immersion as the biblical pattern, we recognize the unity of all believers in Jesus Christ. Therefore, we lovingly welcome into our fellowship Christians from various denominational backgrounds and accept into membership those who have professed faith in Jesus Christ and have previously been baptized by immersion, pouring, or sprinkling.

As a Southern Baptist church, we cooperate with other Baptist churches in advancing the Gospel through missions, ministry, discipleship, and evangelism.
