Position Title: Administrative Assistant - Purchasing & Logistics

Pay Range: $40,000-$45,000+ per year (based on experience)

Job Overview

S.R. Construction Services LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our Purchasing and Logistics Department. In this critical role, you'll coordinate material purchases, track shipments, and ensure seamless communication between project teams, vendors, and management. This position is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, remote environment and is passionate about organization, accuracy, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and track job-specific material purchases, working closely with the Purchasing and Logistics Department head.
  • Monitor shipping and delivery schedules to ensure timely arrival of materials.
  • Maintain clear communication with jobsite personnel to ensure site requirements are met, safety standards are upheld, and accounts are current.
  • Keep accurate records of purchase orders, shipping confirmations, and vendor communications.
  • Provide status updates to project teams and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and internal management software to track purchasing data and assess logistics performance.
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings using Microsoft Teams.
  • Draft and edit correspondence, reports, and other documentation in Microsoft Word.
  • Organize department files and shared drive documentation for easy access and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in purchasing, logistics, or the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange and remote communication tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management abilities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Resides in the Eastern Time Zone (location flexible within ET zone).
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, or supply chain operations.
  • Familiarity with purchase order and inventory management software.
  • Understanding of logistics and vendor relations.

Schedule

  • Full-Time - Monday to Friday
  • Remote work with flexible hours within the Eastern Time Zone.

Location
