ICU Nurse Job Details

• Location: Lillington, NC 27546
• Healthcare Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – Short-term acute care hospital
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (facility call-off policy applies)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Patient Ratio: 1:3
• Charting System: Epic
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Floating: May float between campuses and units as needed
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1830 - $1880

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience required
• Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Ability and willingness to float between like units and campuses
• Must pass advanced EKG exam for compliance
• Locals not accepted within 50 miles of Lillington, NC
• Preferred: Previous charge nurse, community hospital, LTAC, or trauma experience

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult and geriatric ICU patients
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and treatment responses
• Administer medications, manage ventilators, and perform advanced nursing interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory, radiology, and phlebotomy services
• Utilize Epic for accurate and timely charting
• Float to other units or campuses as needed to support patient care
• Participate in orientation and complete required modules prior to start
• Maintain infection prevention standards and adhere to hospital policies and protocols
