Accountant / Payroll
Kforce has a client in Wilmington, DE that is seeking an Accountant/Payroll. Duties:
- Manage Accounts Receivable activities, including monitoring outstanding balances and applying payments
- Support Accounts Payable by reviewing and processing invoices
- Perform bank and account reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities
- Review invoices and financial transactions for accuracy; research and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with basic General Ledger accounting and maintain accurate financial records
- Partner with the outsourced accounting team to ensure transactions are properly recorded and reconciled
- Process payroll through Proliant
- Assist with benefits administration for employees
- Provide general administrative support related to HR and payroll functions
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (strongly preferred) is nice to have
- Strong accounting background (AP/AR, reconciliations, GL exposure)
- Payroll experience
- Experience with benefits administration
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Comfortable working in a blended, cross-functional role
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies
- Collaborative and able to work with both internal teams and external partners
- Experience with Proliant payroll system is nice to have, but not required
