About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Administrator / IT Support Specialist to manage and support our company's day-to-day technology needs. This is a hands-on position supporting employees, maintaining systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and helping ensure reliable and secure business operations.
This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for someone with professional IT experience, formal training, and the ability to work independently in a small business environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for employees
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, phone, and network issues
- Configure and maintain computers, laptops, and office equipment
- Manage Microsoft 365 accounts, permissions, and email systems
- Support Wi-Fi, VPN access, remote desktop tools, and network connectivity
- Assist with cybersecurity, software updates, and endpoint protection
- Handle employee onboarding and offboarding
- Maintain IT inventory, documentation, and vendor relationships
Requirements
- 35+ years of professional IT support or systems administration experience
- Formal IT training and/or industry certifications
- Strong knowledge of:
- Windows operating systems
- Microsoft 365
- Networking fundamentals
- Remote desktop and remote support tools
- Hardware and software troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or similar certifications
- Experience supporting small businesses
- Experience with VPNs, VoIP systems, network equipment, and cybersecurity tools
