Join Us as a Precision CNC Laser Cutting Technician
Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a manufacturing client in Charlotte, NC to hire a skilled CNC laser professional who thrives on accuracy and teamwork.
Compensation: $20/hr
Schedule: 2nd shift, 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM (must be able to train on 1st shift)
Your shift begins with reviewing production priorities and blueprint specifications. You set up and calibrate the CNC laser, verify material specs, and perform a first-article check with calipers and micrometers. Throughout the day, you keep the laser running efficiently, collaborate with teammates to hit schedule targets, and step in with hand tools to assist in component assembly when needed. You keep your work area clean and safe, and when a machine hiccup appears, you help troubleshoot and tackle basic repairs to keep production moving.
What You’ll Handle- Operate CNC laser cutting equipment with a focus on precision and throughput.
- Own setup, calibration, and routine maintenance of the laser system.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to confirm part specifications.
- Verify part quality using precision instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Coordinate with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines.
- Use hand tools and fabrication techniques to assist with component assembly.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment at all times.
- Assist with troubleshooting and perform basic equipment repairs as needed.
