Agile Project Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, testing, and implementation of Agile project management frameworks tailored to software development, data science, and government R&D environments.
- Collaborate with the Operational Data Section (ODS) leadership—including the Chief, Deputy, NCOIC, and Product Managers—to co-develop and sustain a scalable, mission-aligned project management structure.
- Prototype, evaluate, and refine Agile tools such as sprint reviews, daily standups, PI (Program Increment) planning, and retrospectives to improve team performance and project delivery.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of briefing templates, workflow strategies, and process frameworks to address operational bottlenecks and enable rapid iteration.
- Establish robust mechanisms for tracking deliverables, schedules, and quality metrics in real time using Agile tools and project dashboards.
- Facilitate structured mentorship and Agile training initiatives for Government Project Managers to grow XVIII ABC’s internal Agile capacity.
- Champion documentation best practices to ensure transparency, traceability, and knowledge continuity across teams.
- Coordinate the execution of the Technical Innovation Objective (TIO) Priorities Steering process, integrating stakeholder feedback and aligning priorities with mission outcomes.
- Apply industry-standard Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, or equivalent) to enhance cross-functional collaboration, decision-making, and mission-driven experimentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field; Agile certifications (e.g., PMI-ACP, SAFe, Scrum Master) highly preferred.
- 6+ years of experience managing Agile software development or technical innovation projects, preferably within DoD or defense innovation environments.
- Deep understanding of Agile, Lean, and hybrid project management practices with a proven ability to customize frameworks for unique operational needs.
- Strong facilitation and coaching skills with experience training or mentoring project teams in Agile environments.
- Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder projects and fostering collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency with project management and Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Trello, or similar platforms.
- Ability to drive continuous improvement efforts, manage ambiguity, and deliver results under evolving mission requirements.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Current Secret Clearance required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Agile certifications preferred)
