QualificationsPOSITION SUMMARY:
- Responsible for the preparation and serving of patient, staff and visitor meals and snacks according to dietary guidelines. Assists cooks as needed. Operate needed equipment to accomplish service.
- Responsible for cleanliness of work area, dishes, utensils, and pots and pans according to dietary procedures.
- Puts away stock following procedures and pulls items from coolers, storerooms, and freezers
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Training:
High school degree / GED or ten years of experience
Experience:
Six months of dietary, retail, or commercial food service experience preferred
Licensure/Certification:
None required
Knowledge and Skills:
- Able to do inventory of items and fill orders to par levels.
- Ability to work independently while performing assigned tasks correctly
- Able to run and fill assorted foodservice machines such as beverage dispensers, steam tables, and popcorn machines.
- Able to follow diagrams and lists to complete patient trays to specifications
- Ability to interact with customers in a pleasant manner and able to handle customer complaints and problems.
