We are partnering with a well-established organization to identify a Staff Accountant for a contract opportunity. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis
- Support cost accounting functions, including inventory and standard costing
- Analyze manufacturing costs and track production-related financial data
- Partner with operations and production teams to improve financial visibility
- Utilize advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas) for data analysis and reporting
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Exposure to cost accounting, inventory, or standard costing is highly preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
