As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment within a government location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the assigned area, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations as they arise. This position is both armed and requires driving, so you will be entrusted with upholding high standards of professionalism and responsibility while operating a company vehicle and carrying a firearm. You will also interact with staff and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Carry out patrols of the assigned government location, including both interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
- Monitor and respond to security-related incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Interact with employees, visitors, and/or the public to provide customer service and enforce site-specific policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular and random checks for irregularities, reporting any observed issues to appropriate personnel.
- Assist in emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and site leadership.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
- Remain alert and prepared to respond to security-related situations, utilizing assigned equipment and following training guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must possess a valid armed guard card or armed guard license.
- Must have at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
