Job Title: Security Officer (Unarmed / Armed – DOE)

Location: Raleigh–Durham–Chapel Hill, NC

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Pay: Competitive hourly pay (based on experience & assignment)

Job Description:

On Point Protection Agency is seeking professional, dependable Security Officers to provide safety, protection, and visible deterrence at client properties including apartments, construction sites, and commercial facilities.

This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work, show up on time, and understand the importance of professionalism in security services.

May be required to sign a contract with NC Works for training.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a visible security presence
• Monitor property and report suspicious activity
• Conduct patrols (foot or vehicle, as assigned)
• Control access points and enforce site rules
• Write clear and accurate incident reports
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and clients

Minimum Requirements (NO EXCEPTIONS):

• Must have a strong work ethic
• Must be reliable and punctual
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must pass a criminal background check (no disqualifying criminal history)
• Must pass a drug test
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience
• Valid security guard license (or ability to obtain)
• Armed guard certification (for armed positions only)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
