About Us

Focused Staffing Group is dedicated to providing exceptional support services to youth in transition. We are currently seeking qualified Direct Support Supervisors to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our care.

Position Overview

As a Direct Support Supervisor, you will provide in-person supervision to youth placed in our care. You will ensure that all supervision staff meet the necessary training and experience requirements while adhering to the background check standards set by Mecklenburg County. This position is critical for maintaining a safe and supportive environment for the youth we serve.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct, in-person supervision of youth in transitional placements.
• Monitor and support supervision staff to ensure compliance with training and experience requirements.
• Conduct regular assessments of staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure that all supervision staff meet background check requirements as per County standards.
• Maintain accurate records of hours worked for each supervisor, ensuring they are compensated based solely on hours spent providing supervision (no retainer or on-call fees).
• Collaborate with other team members to implement individualized care plans for youth.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within youth services or related fields preferred.
• Strong understanding of youth development and crisis intervention techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check as per Mecklenburg County requirements.
• Must meet minimum training and experience requirements as outlined by the County.
