Job Overview

This operation is to be performed keeping safety as a primary objective and following established GMP, Safety and Classic Packaging procedures and policies. Operation and quality packaging of bags on assigned machine.

Duties

Includes, but not limited to the following:

• Maintain acceptable production levels and quality of product while operating machine in the safest manner possible.
• Must check all the machines’ safety functions at the beginning of their shift to ensure the machine is safe to operate.
• Must read the order in its entirety to make sure you understand what the bag is supposed to look like and how it is supposed to be packed.
• Must check bag quality every 15 minutes to ensure that the bags being packed are of the highest quality and match what the order calls for.
• Quality must be checked at each restart of the machine.
• When the box is complete, you must stack it on the pallet neatly. If the box is over 35lbs, you can ask the mechanic to help put the box on the pallet. (You are still responsible for making sure boxes are stacked neatly and correctly)
• When a problem arises with the machine or bag you must communicate to the supervisor what the problem is.
• All paperwork and computer entries must be complete and accurate.
• You must stay in your work area, and it must be clean and orderly.
• Advise supervisor of any needs or suggestions.
• Evaluate helpers’ progress and training needs.
• Encourage, compliment, and create a positive workplace.
• Comply with all safety requirements, including wearing PPE.
• Safely operate variety of material moving equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists to transport and lift materials finished products.
• Perform any other job duties as assigned by shift supervisor.

Required Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty accurately and in time to meet the company’s target deadlines. The requirements listed are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Proficient in communication skills and computer skills.
• Troubleshoot equipment and product quality issues.
• Start and monitor machine continually at all points.
• Can recall and set bag recipes from the equipment’s computer system for each set up.
• Punctual, meticulous, and reliable.
• Courteous manners with co-workers.

Work Schedule :
2nd Shift - Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11pm
3rd Shift - Sunday - Thursday 11:00pm - 7:00am

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.00 -$18.00 per hour. + Shift differential
