Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 26-week Med/Surg Tele travel contract working nights with Epic proficiency and a required EKG exam during onboarding.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting, with a primarily Med/Surg patient population
• Tele-capable unit requiring EKG competency for all RNs regardless of specialty
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required with holiday rotation
• Charge RN shifts required as needed
• Floating required across all system facilities as needed
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Clinical skills include blood product administration, peripheral line care management, IV starts, heparin, insulin, and PCA management, nasal cannula use, and isolation precautions
• Rapid Response team utilization is part of the care model

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• This is a 26-week contract only — 13-week contracts are not available for this position
• All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during onboarding; two attempts are allowed
• Candidates should prepare for the EKG exam in advance, as study materials will not be provided by the facility
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences is enforced
