A respected regional law firm is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney to join its Raleigh office. This opportunity offers the chance to handle a diverse range of litigation matters while working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with strong mentorship, direct client exposure, and meaningful responsibility from day one.

Responsibilities:

• Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution, including trial preparation when necessary
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, legal memoranda, and settlement agreements
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Attend court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and hearings throughout North Carolina
• Develop litigation strategies and advise clients on risk management and dispute resolution
• Work closely with clients, experts, and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes
• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice groups on complex and high-stakes matters
• Maintain responsibility for case management, deadlines, and client communications

Qualifications:

• JD from an accredited law school
• Admission to the North Carolina Bar (additional bar admissions are a plus)
• 2+ years of civil litigation experience
• Experience handling matters involving business disputes, contract claims, construction litigation, professional liability, employment disputes, personal injury, or other civil litigation matters is a plus
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Experience conducting depositions, drafting substantive motions, and appearing in court preferred
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and a busy caseload
