Event Marketing Team Lead

Position Overview
Joyce is seeking an Event Marketing Team Lead for the Charlotte and Columbia markets to support event execution while providing on-site leadership to a team of event marketers. This is a hands on, working lead role designed for someone who enjoys being in the field, setting the example, and helping a team succeed.
As a Team Lead, you will represent the Joyce brand at local events, assist with day-to-day coordination, and support lead generation efforts for the sales team. This role also serves as a development position, with structured training and coaching to prepare high performers for a future Event Marketing Manager role.
Compensation
This role includes a base salary plus bonus incentives.
Compensation Includes:
- Base salary: $45,000
- $500/month car allowance
- $100/month phone allowance
- Performance bonuses based on lead generation and appointments set
What You’ll Do
- Attend and execute events in the Charlotte and Columbia markets
- Act as a working lead by supporting and guiding event marketers on-site
- Serve as a brand ambassador, engaging attendees and promoting Joyce products
- Assist with event setup and tear-down to ensure professional presentation
- Support scheduling coordination and daily event logistics
- Help train and onboard new event marketers
- Track basic event performance and provide feedback to leadership
- Maintain marketing and promotional materials .

- Receive hands-on leadership training and mentorship
- Learn event prospecting, team development, and performance tracking
- Gain exposure to responsibilities required for an Event Marketing Manager role

You’ll Be a Good Fit If You Have:
- 1–2+ years of event marketing, promotions, or lead-generation experience
- Interest in leadership and career growth into a management role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel throughout the Charlotte and Columbia markets
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as events require
- A results-driven mindset focused on lead generation
- Ability to lift and set up tents, tables, banners, and basic event equipment
- Bonus: Experience in home improvement or construction event marketing
