We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to our clients in Ahoskie. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the well-being of patients and contributing to the success of our healthcare staffing solutions. You will be involved in a variety of projects, from delivering babies to performing gynecological surgeries, all while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting routine check-ups on pregnant women and providing prenatal care
• Performing deliveries and assisting in cesarean sections when necessary
• Diagnosing and treating various gynecological conditions
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as ultrasounds and blood work
• Consulting with patients on family planning and contraceptive options
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Documenting patient information accurately and timely
• Adhering to all relevant medical laws, regulations, and ethical standards

Requirements:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Valid state medical license to practice in Ahoskie
• Proven experience working as an OB/GYN physician
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care

Setting: Inpatient

Level II Nursery

Daily Volume: 2 inpatients, 2 admissions, 1 ED call

Deliveries: 19 per month

Support Staff: Anesthesia, general surgery on backup

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
