Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 - 19:15 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Stepdown experience - Telemetry experience Description: Join a well-respected healthcare facility with a commitment to excellence. The facility is recognized for providing high clinical quality year over year. It has received accolades for its safety measures and patient care. The primary patient population includes cardiovascular and vascular surgery patients. This includes cases such as open heart surgery, thoracic surgery, and vascular interventions. The unit also accommodates overflow medical cardiology patients with various diagnoses. Total number of beds in the unit is 40. Staff includes a range of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing high-quality patient care. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5, ensuring adequate attention for each patient. Equipment used includes IV pumps and various lifts. The electronic medical record system is Cerner. A flexible, team-oriented personality is ideal for this fast-paced environment. Weekend and holiday shifts are requirements, ensuring adequate coverage for patient needs. Candidates with prior experience in cardiovascular surgery populations are preferred.
