Triathlon Director

POSITION OVERVIEW

The HFFA Triathlon Director is a dynamic and multifaceted leadership position requiring strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills—paired with a genuine passion for the sport of triathlon. This role combines athlete coaching, event direction, and program development to create a thriving triathlon community.

Key Responsibilities:

Triathlon Coaching

• Design and lead structured swim, bike, run, and strength training sessions for individuals and small groups.

• Deliver personalized feedback and maintain consistent communication to support athlete motivation and progress.

• Adapt training plans to meet the needs and goals of beginner through advanced-level athletes.

Race Director

• Oversee all phases of race planning, including logistics, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up.

• Manage key aspects such as event operations, risk management, permit acquisition, volunteer coordination, and race-day safety, including police presence.

• Build and maintain sponsor relationships and lead community engagement efforts.

• Monitor and manage event budgets and reporting.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for participant communication and event updates.

Current TRI Swim Schedule

• Group Swim Sessions (Designated Lanes) Tuesdays & Thursdays: 7:00–8:00 AM and 10:50–11:50 AM
• Multi-Sport Training Individual and Semi-Private Sessions Swim, bike, run, and strength sessions scheduled separately based on athlete and coach availability and goals.

Required Certifications

• Certified Triathlon Coach

• Certified Personal Trainer

• SafeSport Certification

• CPR/First Aid/AED Certified
