Job Summary:
We are seeking a Construction Foreman with experience in healthcare remodeling and commercial construction. This position is travel-based with job sites across the Southeast, but you will return home on weekends. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Leadership and Crew Management:
- Supervise day-to-day operations at healthcare construction sites, ensuring safe and efficient workflows.
- Lead and manage small field teams, coordinating tasks and delegating responsibilities.
- Oversee subcontractor coordination, ensuring all tasks align with project plans.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings to maintain a safety-first culture.
Project Coordination and Quality Control:
- Monitor project progress, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols are met.
- Conduct routine site inspections, identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Interpret and execute construction tasks based on blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Maintain accurate daily job logs, safety records, and material inventory.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and facility representatives to ensure smooth project execution.
Communication and Reporting:
- Serve as the on-site point of contact, providing progress updates to management and stakeholders.
- Report work status, challenges, and project milestones to project managers.
- Document and communicate any changes to project scope or timeline.
- Foster open communication with team members to address on-site challenges and maintain team morale.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Construction Foreman in healthcare remodeling or commercial construction.
- Familiarity with medical imaging projects or healthcare facility renovations is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in reading construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, tools, and materials.
- Ability to use project management software for documentation and reporting.
Leadership and Communication:
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication for client interactions and team coordination.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel extensively during the week (Monday–Friday).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various conditions.
- Commitment to safety compliance and quality assurance.
- Must live within 1 hour of out Gastonia, NC office.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Wage: $25–$30/hour, based on experience and skill level.
