Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing personalized care strategies
  • Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic medical conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently, depending on your credentials
  • Empowering patients and families through education on wellness, disease prevention, and management
  • Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies within your scope of practice
  • Involving yourself in ongoing patient follow-up and chronic disease management
  • Working closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Accurately and thoroughly documenting within electronic medical records (EMR)
Educational Qualifications
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Essential Certifications
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of North Carolina
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or similar specialty
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capability to secure within 90 days)
