- Perform pre-testing procedures for eye exams
- Assist with contact lens fittings and prescription dispensing
- Conduct visual field testing, oct and autorefraction
- Utilize optical knowledge to assist patients with lensometry
- Handle scheduling appointments and maintaining electronic medical records
- Assist our optical department and other areas of the practice where needed
- Previous experience in an optical or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of optometric practices, including familiarity with medical coding systems.
- Understanding of anatomy and physiology related to eye care is desirable.
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate medical records.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Bilingual English/Spanish speaking is a plus
