Office Location for Team Meetings: Elizabethtown, NC
Schedule: Full-Time | Flexible schedule with community-based visits, remote documentation, and required in-person team meetings
Pay: $40,000 annual salary + performance bonuses
About Us:
TSG Behavioral Health & Community Services is expanding community-based behavioral health services into new counties to meet the growing need for high-quality, Medicaid-compliant care. Our Community Support Team (CST) program serves adults with serious mental illness, co-occurring substance use disorders, and functional challenges that place them at risk of crisis, hospitalization, or institutionalization.
We are seeking a Licensed or Associate Licensed Clinician to serve as the CST Team Lead for this region. This person will play a key leadership role in building, guiding, and sustaining the CST program while ensuring clinical quality, team accountability, and strong program performance.
Position Summary:
The CST Team Lead is the clinical and operational leader of the Community Support Team. This role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functioning of the CST program, leading staff, completing and reviewing key clinical assessments, supporting service quality, and helping ensure the program remains organized, effective, compliant, and sustainable.
This is not just a direct service role. It is a leadership role for someone who can guide a multidisciplinary team, maintain strong oversight of clinical work, monitor program performance, and help grow a stable and successful CST service line in a developing area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Community Support Team and provide clear direction, guidance, and accountability for team members.
- Supervise and support Qualified Professionals, Associate Professionals, paraprofessionals, and Peer Support Specialists involved in CST services
- Conduct Comprehensive Clinical Assessments (CCAs) as required and complete or oversee assessment addendums, updates, and related clinical reporting
- Ensure clinical documentation is completed accurately, timely, and in accordance with agency standards and Medicaid requirements
- Hold and lead regular CST team meetings in the Elizabethtown office , including case review, staffing, service planning, problem-solving, and follow-up on clinical and operational issues
- Provide direct clinical support and interventions as needed to assist with complex cases, service coordination, and treatment planning
- Review service notes, treatment plans, addendums, discharge-related documentation, and other clinical records for quality and compliance
- Monitor staff performance, productivity, documentation quality, and service delivery expectations
- Help ensure the sustainability and performance of the CST program by supporting census development, staff accountability, service quality, retention, and efficient program operations
- Identify workflow issues, compliance concerns, or service gaps and help implement corrective action and process improvement
- Coordinate with referral sources, care managers, MCO/LME partners, hospitals, and community agencies to support continuity of care and strengthen the program’s presence in the service area
- Help maintain a strong community-based model of care through client engagement, field-based support, and recovery-focused service planning
- Support agency leadership in building a CST program that is structured, compliant, responsive, and positioned for long-term success
Qualifications:
- North Carolina Licensed Clinician preferred, including LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist, or other qualifying clinical license
- Associate-level licensed clinicians are encouraged to apply
- Must meet qualifications to serve in the CST Team Lead role under applicable service requirements
- At least 1 year of relevant experience working with adults with serious mental illness, co-occurring disorders, or complex behavioral health needs preferred
- Experience with clinical assessments, addendums, treatment planning, documentation review, and team leadership strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of Medicaid documentation standards, behavioral health compliance, and community-based service delivery
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the service area
- Ability to lead a team, manage multiple responsibilities, and help build a developing program with structure and consistency
