Full-Time Pet Loving House Manager In Asheville, NC

Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a couple in Asheville, NC in finding a Full-Time House Manager. The House Manager should be flexible to work 30 hours per week within the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Additional hours will be offered for occasional evenings and weekends. The ideal candidate will also be able to accommodate overnight stays of up to two weeks at a time, no more than twice per year.

The best House Manager for this couple will be a genuine dog lover who is reliable, flexible, and proactive. This individual must be caring, patient, and compassionate, and fully understand that the family’s seven small rescue dogs are treated as their children. All dogs are under 15 pounds, including four Italian Greyhounds, one Italian Greyhound mix, and two Chihuahuas. One of the Italian Greyhounds is a palliative foster who is blind and requires hand-feeding and mobility support, including being carried outside. The ideal candidate will be active and engaged, confident walking multiple dogs at once, and ideally enjoys running or taking the dogs on local trails.

In addition to the dogs, there are two cats requiring minimal care, primarily feeding and monitoring. The couple works from home and values a calm and structured environment, so the candidate should be comfortable with this dynamic and respectful of work-from-home boundaries. While the role is heavily centered around pet care, the House Manager will also assist with maintaining organization, assisting with the household tasks listed below, and ensuring the home runs smoothly.

Household Duties Include (Pets are the first priority):

• Pet care, including walking the dogs daily

• Stick vacuuming pet areas

• Family laundry and changing sheets weekly

• Meal prep

• Unloading/loading dishwasher

• Wiping down kitchen counters

• Grocery Shopping

• General Errands

• Package Management

• Taking vehicles for routine maintenance

• Managing Service Providers

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional House Management experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references
