Quality Tester - 3rd shift
Quality Supervisor Quality Control Technician - Tester Reports to: At ABB, we are dedicated to addressing global challenges. In this role, you will have the opportunity to conduct testing and inspections during the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Each day, you will execute the assigned work according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines and report any non-compliance. You will also showcase your expertise by performing tests or checks by following procedures and instructions defined in manuals and test scripts. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Executes the assigned work according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines and reports any non-compliance.
- Performs physical pre-testing activities for newly developed products to ensure product quality and validate manufacturing processes.
- Assists the team in performing all required checks as part of the Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) process.
- Inspects and troubleshoots any identified issues, determines root causes, and implements corrective actions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Maintains accurate testing records, data, and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality management systems.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives, providing feedback and suggestions to enhance manufacturing processes and product quality.
- Demonstrates ABB's core values and group safety and integrity standards and acts accordingly.
- Implements and ensures compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area.
- Ensures adherence to all relevant internal and statutory regulations and policies.
- Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities.
- Demonstrates an understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) terms, concept application, reporting, and risks.
- Ensures adherence to the collaboration objectives of the team to maximize results for ABB.
- Leads their own development journey by seeking knowledge and learning opportunities within the team.
- Manages relationships with stakeholders in their own area of responsibility and ensures alignment.

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required
- Knowledge and use of tools - tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools , as needed.
- Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs
